Evening people, I have a 98 GSF 600 Bandit with a more than slightly worrying knocking feeling.
Fairly recently Iv noticed a random knocking feeling throught the handle bars and foot peg, enough for me to notice but not so sever iv had to stop. Iv tried several times to find out where the knocking feel is comming from but have been un-successful. The other night it was happening again, this time I realised that it only seemed to happen when I applied drive to the chain, like generally cruising or accelerating away, but it completly dissapeared when I either pulled the clutch in or let off the throttle.
I was wondering if anyone had any ideas as to what it could be, or if they thought it sounded dangerous. Being new to biking id really appreciate peoples advice.
Thanks guys

Have you checked the chain tension or whether the chain has developed any significant tight spots?

Thats about the limit of my bike skills Embarassed , i'll have a word with Paul/Vince.

Bring it by next week and they can have a look for you.

Cheers Dale, I'll try and get down again soon. Since then iv lub'd the chain up and its piped down alot, maybe it just needed a bit of chain lub.
